Wilda Edythe Leighton, 83, of Benton NB passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at the Upper River Valley Hospital Waterville NB.  Wilda was born on October 24, 1933 daughter of the late Ernest and Bella (Simmonds) Mills.

Known as everyone's "Gram", Wilda will be remembered most for her quick witt, selfless love, and dedication to her family, friends, church, and community.

Wilda is survived by her children; Bonnie Weaver (Luke), Owen Leighton (Donita), Dwight Leighton (Benny), Brent Leighton (Melissa),  thirteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, foster children; Myles Dymond, Darlene McDougall, Allison Sewell, Leonard Phillips, three foster grandchildren, four foster great grandchildren, sister, Irma McKinney, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her parents, Wilda was predeceased by her husband, Ralph, sisters, Glenna, Juanita, brothers, Gordon and Ralphie.

Visitation will be held at The Village Lighthouse Church 926 Benton Road Benton, NB on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 from 6 PM to 9 PM. Funeral service for Wilda will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 3 PM at The Village Lighthouse Church. Interment will be held at Village Lighthouse Cemetery.
