It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Wallace Lorne Ketch of Woodstock on Friday May 9, 2025, at the Upper River Valley Hospital at the age of 101.

Wallace was born on February 29, 1924, in Waterville, NB. He was the son of Eska Delong and Robert Ketch, he had one sister Violette Graham, who predeceased him.

Wallace and his wife Glenna (Draper), of 76 years, had 4 children. Lorne Ketch, (Gladys), Myrna Smith (Leslie), Vicki Fox (Paul) and Debbie Smith (Stephen).

He had grandchildren, Laurie Ketch Conrad (Brad), Karen Mercer (Jonathan), Shelley Steedsman (James), Brad Fox (Joleen) Marsha Fox (Dave) Josh Fox (Karen)

He also had many great grand children and one great -great grand child.

Wallace spent his life as a mechanic and had a gift for repairing anything mechanical. He loved cars and every detail about them. His passion for making friends with different wild animals made great family stories. He had a passion for vegetable gardening which later blossomed into flower gardening. He also liked to construct things and watch others do the same. He had a curiosity to learn new things A zest for life that surpassed all others.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Upper River Valley Hospital for their compassion and care of Wally. Their dedication to their jobs is unsurpassed,

Resting at the Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville NB with visitation from 12 till 2 PM on Tuesday May 13th, service will follow at 2pm. Interment will be held at the Woodstock Rural Cemetery.
