Violet Virginia McIntosh, 78, of Woodstock, NB, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2008 at her residence. Violet was born in Woodstock, NB on June 23, 1930, daughter of the late C. Merrill and Margaret (McLaughlin) Hickey. Violet is survived by her children; Deborah Hollaway (Don), Richmond Corner, NB, Wanda McIntosh, Woodstock, NB, Phyllis Clarke, Woodstock, NB, Mary McIntosh, (Roger), Edmonton, AB, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, brother, Charles Hickey, sisters, Evelyn Johnson, Shirley Roberts, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, Violet was predeceased by her husband, Eldridge, brothers, Bobby, Eldon, Stephen, Clifford, sisters, Sarah, Marian, Pauline and Lillian. There will be no visitation by request. A graveside committal service will be held at Christ Church Cemetery Lower Woodstock on Thursday, November 20 at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
