Vernon Leroy McAllister, 78, of Jacksontown, NB, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at The Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville, NB. Roy was born in Tilley, NB, on June 4, 1929, son the late Harry and Helen (Moorcroft) McAllister. Roy is survived by special friend Cecelia O'Leary, Jacksontown, NB, children: Linda Kay (Larry Sewell), Grafton, NB, Vernon McAllister (Rose), Alberta, daughter in law Karen McAllister, Woodstock, NB, step daughter, Cindy Lou Bootle (John), grandchildren; Janet and Adam Toner, Sean and Cindy Kay, J.J and Becky McAllister, Tammy, Krystal, Shannon McAllister, seven great grandchildren, brother, Robert McAllister, Kingston, Peninsula, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides parents Roy was predeceased by a son, Wayne, eight brothers and four sisters. By request there will be no visitation. A Legion Tribute Service will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at 2 PM from Royal Canadian Legion Woodstock. Interment will be held at a later date.
