The death of Vernon Roland English of Canterbury, NB occurred on Thursday July 28, at his residence. Born in Canterbury, NB he was the son of the late William and Beatrice (Harten) English. Vernon is survived by his wife Jean (MacIlroy) English, Canterbury, NB, two daughter: Nancy, Woodstock NB, Shelia (Brian), Hartland, NB, three sons: Stanley (Judy), Canterbury NB, Paul (Tara), Lake Edward, NB, Greg (Tina), Canterbury, NB, thirteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one sister Geraldine Gaskin (John), Fredericton, NB several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Saturday July 30 from the Carleton Funeral Home 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral service will be Sunday July 31 at St. Marks United Church Canterbury at 2 PM with Rev. Vera Sampson officiating. Burial to follow in the Canterbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the St. Marks United Church Canterbury.
