Vera Julia Hargest's Obituary
Vera Julia Hargest, 89, of Woodstock NB passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at the Carleton Manor Nursing Home. Vera was born in Hartford NB on October 7, 1930 daughter of the late Demic and Mabel Tompkins.
Vera is survived by her daughters, Evelyn Purinton (Brian), Audrey Hargest, Greta Kennedy (George), son, Reid Hargest (Ruth), seven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, four great, great grandchildren, sisters in law, Mabel McLellan, Bernie Tompkins, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents, Vera was predeceased by her husband, Ronald, sister, Violet McLean, and a brother, Hugh Tompkins.
By request there will be no visitation. Funeral service for Vera will be held at The Carleton Funeral Home Chapel 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 11 AM. Interment will be held in the Mackenzie Corner United Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Carleton County Animal Shelter, Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Alzheimer's Society.
