Vena Margarite Moorcroft, 82, of Upper Hainesville, NB passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Vena was born in South Waterville, York County, NB, on December 20, 1929, daughter of the late Angus and Maggie (Tapley) MacFarlane.

Vena is survived by her daughter; Nancy Billings (Wayne), Hainesville, NB, son; Brian Bates (Laura), Fredericton, NB, five grandchildren; several great grandchildren, brothers; Earl MacFarlane, Temperance vale, NB, John MacFarlane (Sadie), Temperance Vale, NB, sisters; Geraldine Hickey, Temperance Vale, NB, Lena Bragdon, Woodstock, NB, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her parents, Vena was predeceased by her husbands; Gordon Bell and David Moorcroft, infant, daughter, Ruth Ann, brothers; Milton, Berry, sisters; Marclean, Rowena, Bertha, Norma-Jean and Ina.

Visitation will be held at The Sure Life Assembly Church, Ottis Drive Nackawic on Tuesday, October 23 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 24 at 2 PM from The Sure Life Assembly Church with Pastor George Clark officiating. Interment will be held in Ottis Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to The Lung Association or to a memorial of the Donor's Choice.
