Obituary

It is with terrible sadness that we announce the passing of Theresa Keilty-Sharpe. Theresa was born on March 3, 1958 in Scott Siding, N.B., and died in the comfort of her own home in Elmwood, N.B., on May 25, 2020, surrounded by love.

Theresa enjoyed a successful and progressive career in Human Services in New Brunswick, Ontario and Alberta after graduating from NBCC, Saint John. Her huge heart and deep compassion changed many lives for the better from her former students at Oromocto High School to working tirelessly to ensure her clients at the Robin Hood Society, of Sherwood Park and Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta enjoyed the highest quality of life. She was an excellent gardener and was known for her beautiful flower beds and green thumb. Her eye for design and creativity showed in her meticulously cared for home. Therese was a great cook and loved to preserve, pickle and generously shared the fruits of her labours. Her family dinners were wonderful.

Theresa will be sadly missed by her caring companion and loving partner Donnie Barrett and her siblings; Richard (Patricia) Keilty of Woodstock; Jack (Barb) Keilty of Scott Siding; Maxine (Paul) McGrattan of Doaktown; Diana Allen of Edmonton. She was predeceased by her cherished daughter Miranda, and beloved husband Gene, parents Agnes and John Keilty, as well as brothers Michael and Stewart, sister in law Cheyenne Keilty, and brother in law Jay Allen.

She is fondly remembered by her step children; Robert Barrett of Stanley; Annette (Donald) Barrett of Durham Bridge; Kerrie Anne (Terry) Barrett of Oromocto as well as her sister in law, Marguerite McBride of Dartmouth; brother in law, William (Cathy) Barrett of Dartmouth; and treasured grandchildren Jacob and Bailey; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews, and countless friends who loved her dearly. She will be greatly missed.

Donnie and the family would like to thank their Extra-Mural Nurse and the Occupational and Respiratory therapists for their excellent care. There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place and Christian burial and life celebration will take place at a later date —tba.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Theresa's name to the St Francis of Assisi Shrine, Upper Skiff Lake, NB. or Debec animal shelter.
