Obituary

It is with much sadness and broken hearts that we announce the death of Stephen Allan Roy Paget, 71 of Richmond Corner, NB who passed away after a brief illness surrounded by his family on June 8, 2022 at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Stephen was born in Woodstock, NB on March 6, 1951 to Sue (McLeod) and Murray Paget. Stephen is survived by his soul mate and love of his life of 50 years Brenda (Clark) Paget and their children Melanie (Denis) Deveau and Noah (Sarah) Paget. He was the proud and loving Poppy to Parker Britton, Jillian, Reece and Olivia Paget. A caring, protective and sometimes devilish brother, he is survived by his sister Laura Bull and brothers James (Pat) Paget and Mark (Heather) Paget. Uncle Steve will be remembered by his nieces and nephews Karen Cunningham, Sharon Boughner (Dana), Heather Kidney (Daryl), Warren Paget (Noriko), Zachariah Paget (Krista) and his many great nieces and nephews as the cool uncle who always had a Paget childhood story to tell and a laugh to give. Steve is also survived by many cousins, but the McLeod girls held a special place in his heart. Aside from his parents Stephen was predeceased by a sister Sharon Paget, a brother in law Richard Bull and nephew Rick Bull. Stephen was employed 47 years with St. Anne Nackawic/AV Nackawic where he was fortunate enough to create many great friendships. Stephen will be remembered by many of Melanie and Noah's friends as their 2nd Dad. He was always available to provide support, advice, a listening ear and a good time. He loved his daily walks, travelling (especially to a beach), music, dancing and spending time with his many friends and family. He will be remembered as a kind, caring and generous man who loved his family unconditionally. "That man is a success – who has lived well, laughed often and loved much, who has gained the respect of others and the love of children, who has filled his niche, and accomplished his task. Who leaves the world better than he found it, who has never lacked appreciation of earth's beauty or failed to express it, who looked for the best in others and gave the best he had." – unknown Visitation will be Held on Monday June 13, 2022, at the Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road, Jacksonville NB from 3 to 8PM. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday June 14, 2022, from the Woodstock Wesleyan Church in Jacksonville at 2PM with Pastor Zack Paget officiating.
