Stanley Alvin Barr of Millville, NB passed away peacefully on May 31, 2020 at Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville, NB. He is survived by his loving wife Pamela Barr (McConaghy); Sisters, Edith Holland of Fredericton, NB, Betty Donahue of Fredericton, NB, Brother, Stanley (Lilian) Holt of Fredericton, NB ; His Children, Steven (Toby) Barr of Fredericton, NB, Fred (Janie) Barr of McAdam, NB, Derrick (Helen) Barr of Saint John,NB , Donna (Derek) Penney of Innisfail, AB, Candy (Martin) Bateman of Shediac Cape,NB, Lynn (Chris) Neal Of Woodstock, NB; Grandchildren, Heather, Jami, Danielle , Andrew, Jonathan, Brett, Lynn , Tristen , Allyson, Karley; Step Grandchildren, Theresa, Anne-Louise, kaitlynne (Derrick &Helen) Great-Grandchildren, Rebecca, Natalie, Ameila, Jack, Samuel, Rowan. Fondly remembered by his extended Nova Scotia Family, and his many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents Stanley and Mary Barr and Sister Margaret Estabrooks
Born in Fredericton NB, Stan's good nature and a great sense of humour earned him many life-long friends. He was a wonderful story-teller who could often be found sharing tales of his time in the Royal Canadian Air Force as well as a Fredericton Police Officer. He was a Past President and lifelong member of the Millville Legion. He enjoyed calling bingo and playing in the jamboree. Stan was a big presence to anyone who knew him, He loved a good old fashion game of cards, having a cup of coffee and chatting, He always lend a friendly ear to listen.
Stan was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to many. We will miss him greatly.
Cremation has been entrusted to Carleton Funeral Home in Jacksonville, NB. Due to covid-19 restrictions a service will be held at a later date.
