It is with much sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Elizabeth (Wright) Wood of Upper Woodstock on Saturday August 30, 2025, at her residence.

Shirley was born in Upper Woodstock on November 21, 1938, to the late Arthur and Madeline (Keith) Wright.

Shirley is survived by her children, Carl (Ada) Wood, Ralph Wood, Stanley (Noreen) Wood and Frances (James) Shaw, grandchildren, Constance, Clarissa, Wesley, Michael, Tara, Emily and Nicolas, Ten Great Grandchildren, several Nieces and Nephews.

Besides her parents, Shirley was predeceased by her husband Basil Wood, infant daughter Louise and son Richard, daughter in law Tina Wood and brother Kenneth Wright.

Visitation will be held at Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road, Jacksonville on Wednesday Sept 3, 2025 from 2 to 4PM.

Funeral Service will be held in the chapel at 4PM, interment to follow at the Upper Woodstock Cemetery.
