Shirley Mabel Walton, 86, of Centreville, NB, passed away at the Carleton Manor, Woodstock, NB surrounded by her loved ones. Shirley was born in Pemberton Ridge, NB on February 27, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Guy and Flora Leeman.

Shirley is survived by her daughter Jan Kennedy, three sons, Dale, Bruce (Carla), Dean (Paula) Walton, one brother, Gerald (Todd) Leeman, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Shirley is predeceased by her husband, Gordon Walton, two brothers Lloyd and Garland Leeman, four sisters, Phyliss, Thelma, Velma, and Helen, son-in-law Terrance Kennedy and brother-in-law George Walton.

Shirley was one terrific lady and the loss of her life is felt deeply by many. She was a wonderful, Kind and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She played an important roll in everyone's lives whether it was special advice, cooking or knitting lesson. Her spirit, wisdom and strength will continue to live on in each of us and everyone's lives that she touched.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Carleton Funeral Home & Crematorium , 337 Lockhart Mill Road., Jacksonville, NB. At the request of the family a private burial will take place. A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, May 11, 2018 from 3-6 pm at the Y's men's Community Hall (Connell Park).
