It is with much sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Joyce Finnie of Woodstock, on Wednesday July 24, 2024, at the Upper River Valley Hospital at the age of 73.

Shirley was born on July 28, 1950, the oldest daughter of the late Doug and Joyce (Wilkins)Finnie of Woodstock, New Brunswick.

Shirley is survived by her daughter Melanie (Gregory) Daniels, son Jason Muzzerall, grand children Hayley, Hank, Mia and Scarlett, Sister Leanda Harris, brothers Alex, Malcolm and Cedric Finnie and several extended family members, and many friends.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Heather and brother Lorne.

Shirley loved her family, they meant everything to her, she loved her cat, flowers, knitting, colouring. She loved Christmas and always enjoyed her Christmas tree; she loved cards and board games as well.

Shirley had many wonderful friends and she loved them all for standing by her side. Shirley's education meant the world to her, she loved being a nurse.

Thank you to everyone that played a roll in caring for Shirley during her sickness, the medical team was fantastic.

There will be no public visitation, cremation will take place and a graveside service will be held on Tuesday July 30, 2024 at 2PM at the Woodstock Rural Cemetery.

Shirley's request was donations in her memory be made to the IWK Hospital which was near and dear to her heart.
