It is with much sadness and broken hearts that we announce the death of Shirley Dawn Brown (Hamilton) of Wakefield NB, on Thursday April 18, 2024, at the Upper River Valley Hospital at the age of 78.

Shirley was born in East Coldstream on June 26, 1945, to the late John and Christine Hamilton (Harrington).

Shirley is survived by her husband Frank Brown, daughter Kimberly Newcombe, sons Christopher (Kathy) Brown, James Brown, grand children, Addie Brown, Ryan Hathaway, Desiree Foster (Casey), Brittany Sharpe (Jordan), Brandi Sarchfield (Nathan), Shane Grey, Trenton Brown, Kiara Brown, Phoenix Ginson-Brown, Maddox Ginson-Brown, great grandchildren Quinn Brown, Brody Campbell, Kyra Campbell, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins and many friends.

Besides her parents, Shirley was also predeceased by her stepfather Eldon Clark, children, Winston Hathaway, Pam Harrington, Lewis Harrington, Mark Harrington, son in law Colin Newcombe and brother Owen Hamilton.

Visitation will be held on Monday April 22, 2024, at the Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville NB from 5 to 8 PM. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday April 23, at the Waterville Baptist Cemetery Estey Road at 3PM.
