Shirley Lorraine Adams, 81, of Grafton, NB passed away on Friday, December 28, 2007 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville, NB. Shirley was born in St. John, NB on March 16, 1926, daughter of the late Richard and Myrtle (Pike) Thorne. Shirley is survived by her husband Charles, daughter, Judy Reid (Charles), Chuck Adams (Ruth), grandchildren; Paul Reid, Sarah Reid, Mark Reid, Rhonda Reid, Joan Reid, Nick Lamont, Geoffrey Adams, Byen Herbert, Jennifer Adams, Matt Winchester, great grandchildren; Dylan Reid, Sabrena Guest, Mike Guest, great great grandchildren; Landen, Caiden, sisters; June Goss, Connie Murphy, Carol Gray, Nancy Levine, brothers; David Thorne, Philip Thorne, Leslie Thorne, Eugene Thorne, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents Shirley was predeceased by brothers; Bill Thorne, Dick Thorne and a sister, Norma Sambles. Visitation will be held at The Carleton Funeral Home 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville NB on Sunday, December 30 from 3:30 to 5:30 and 7 to 9. Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 31 at The Carleton Funeral Home Chapel at 2 PM with Rev. Paul Legere officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in Knoxford Cemetery.
