It is with much sadness that we announce the death of Sheldon Alfred Trail, of Woodstock on Friday November 22, 2024, at his residence at the age of 91.

Sheldon was born in Temperance Vale NB on March 27, 1933, to the late Alfred and Marclean (MacFarlene) Trail.

Survived by his wife Shirley (Palmer) Trail, Sons, Colin (Gail) Trail and Rodney (Michelle) Trail, son in law Peter Burtt, grand children, Shane Trail (Crystal), Joel Trail (Michelle), Holly Pike, (Ken), Ian Allen and Chelsey Beckett, Emma Trail (Anthony), Matthew Trail (Jamie), Great grand kids, Keisha, Koda, Hero, Colton, Dove, Katie, Tanner, Jaxson, and Fern. Brother Alton Trail (Carol), sisters, Caroline Price, Jeannie Trail. Also survived by Brother-in-law Robert Palmer (Fern), sister-in-law Sharon Gibbs (John), Darlene Gullison and chosen sister -in- law Brenda Jewett.

Besides his parents, Sheldon was predeceased by his loving only daughter, Collen Trail Burtt, daughter in law Barbara (Steeves) Trail, brothers George, Joe, Jack, Stanley, Sisters Edith and Ruth, sister in laws Carol McConnaghy and Delores Sharpe.

Sheldon worked in the lumbering and mill business for a good many years.

There will be no visitation.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday December 3, 2024, at 2PM from the St Clements Anglican Church in Dumfries NB with Father David Mercer.

Interment will be at the  St Luke's Anglican Cemetery , Temperance Vale following the service.

If so desired, donations in Sheldon's memory can be made to the Carleton County Animal Shelter.
