Sandra Alayne Chase

It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Sandra Alayne (Nichol) Chase of East Newbridge on Thursday July 9, 2026, at the Upper River Valley Hospital at the age of 78.

Sandra was born in Woodstock on November 19, 1947, to the late Herman and Louise (Wright) Nichol.

She is survived by her daughter Charleen (Dana) Kenneson, and son Joseph Chase, grandchildren, Makayla Anderson, and Brooklyn Kenneson, great granddaughter Eleanor, sister Carolyn (Bob) Smith, brother Carl Nichol, sisters-in-laws, Shirley Turner, Rose Grant, Laurie Chase, Carol Chase, and several Nieces Nephews, Cousins and extended family and friends.

Besides her parents, Sandra was predeceased by her husband Harold Chase, sister Sheryl Nichol, brother in laws Bernard, Ellis and Danny Chase, Nieces, Shelly Smith and Julie Chase.

Sandra worked for over 40 years at the hospital in house keeping. She enjoyed her weekly BINGO games, her game shows and her soaps, but more than anything she loved her grandchildren and loved spending time with them.

Keeping with Sandra’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral service.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
