Mabel Ruth Kavanaugh (Jones) passed away in her 86th year on Monday October 28th, 2019 after a short stay at Upper Valley Regional Hospital. Loving wife of the late Delbert Shaw and the late Frank Kavanaugh.

Loving Mother of Gary, Ted (Patti) and Terry Shaw and of Francis (Lyndel) and Stephen Kavanaugh. Loving Grandmother to Laurie Anne, Bianca, Delbert, Jill (Ashby), Ashley (Joel), Joey (Suzi), Andrea, Vicky (Russell), and Jessica (Jon) Shaw, and Georgia, Connor and Kieran Kavanaugh. Great Grandmother to Amelia, Russell, Audrina, Ella, Payton, Adam, Annanelle, Dakota and Falon. Ruth is survived by her siblings Lorna Jones, Faye Savage and Myrna Jones Reinhardt Wark (Neil), and many Nieces and Nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents Wilmot and Catherine Jones (Rollins) and siblings Dorothy, Pat, Thelma, Velma, Leona Doug, Gene, and Maurice.

The family would like to express their deep appreciation to Pastor Trevor Savage for his friendship and kindness to Ruth and to our family over the past few years.

Visitation will be held at The Carleton Funeral Home & Crematorium 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville on Thursday, October 31, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8. Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 1, 2019 from the Lakeville Baptist Church at 2 PM. Interment will be held in the Avondale Cemetery.
