With gratitude for the life he lived, the family of Ronald David Shaw announce he has passed away peacefully with family around him on October 3rd, 2026, in Woodstock, New Brunswick.
Born on March 23rd, 1950, to Jack and Myrtle Shaw, Ron grew up on the farm in Bloomfield with an appreciation for animals, gardening, nature, and hard work.
He held many titles proudly as a devoted husband to Joyce; a caring Dad to David (Pauline), James (Sarah), and Samantha (Jeremy); a loving Grampy to Hailey (Evan), Tyler, JP, William, Hunter, and
Jenna. He was also thrilled to be Grampy-Two to Nate, Nolan, and Elaina. His family was his pride and joy.
At work he held the title of Mining Recorder for the province of New Brunswick, a job he enjoyed going to everyday for over 37 years.
Ron will be remembered for many things like his love for fiddlehead and berry picking, hunting, fishing, Kings Landing, Toronto Maple Leafs, babies, a game of crib, butterscotch pie, dulse, Toyotas, dirt roads and his Donald Duck impression, but most of all for being a man of integrity, generosity, and wisdom such as one thing he often said "Time stands for Things I Must Experience" and he truly spent his time well.
In addition to his wife, children, grand-children, and great-grand-children, he is also survived by his two brothers Larry Shaw and Blair Shaw and several nieces and nephews who were important to him as well.
He was predeceased by his parents Jack and Myrtle Shaw and siblings Phillip Shaw and Sheila Stairs.
The family would also like to thank the staff at Carleton Manor for their exceptional care and kindness.
Visiting hours will take place Saturday, October 10th at Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road, Jacksonville NB from 12 until 2pm, with the funeral following at 2pm.
Honorary pallbearers are, Tyler Brown, JP Shaw, William Shaw, Hunter Kelusky, Chad Shaw and Danny Pepin.
