Robert Donald MacElwain, 73, of Greenfield NB passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville NB. Robert was born in Fredericton, NB on July 12, 1938, son of late Harry and Beatrice MacElwain.

Robert is survived by a daughter, Lynn Woolaver, Centreville, NB, a son, Stuart, Greenfield, NB, Grandchildren, Niki (Mike) Halifax, NS, Justin (Candice) Lloyd Minister, AB, Michelle, Centreville, NB, Great grandchild, Zoe, brother, David (Beverley) Cadillac, SK, niece, Val, and a  nephew Jim. Robert was predeceased by his parents.

Robert taught school and practiced law in the local area for many years.

Visitation was at The Carleton Funeral Home on Monday, September 26, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.  Funeral service was held on Tuesday, Sept 27 from the Carleton Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM with Rev. Garth Hathaway officiating. Music for the service was provided by Cathy Cox, words of remembrance were offered by Sgt. Len O'Halloran, and by Lieutenant Governor, Hon. Graydon Nicholas.  Interment was in St. Barnabas Cemetery Greenfield, NB.
