Robert Lorne Lawrence

It is with broken hearts and much sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Lorne Lawrence, of Sharpe’s Mountain, on Wednesday July 8, 2026, at the Upper River Valley Hospital at the age of 67, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Robert was born on November 28, 1958, in Woodstock to the late Vaughn and Alma (McQuade) Lawrence.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Survived by wife Linda (Stairs) Lawrence, daughter Rachel Kenney (Mark), son John Lawrence (Chelsey) grand children Lilly and Addelyn Lawrence. And his very loved dog killer.

Robert spent his life working on cars. He loved to be able to solve a problem when others couldn’t it was his way of helping people and it gave him a lot of pride. His passion in life was cycling. On the weekends you could see him all over Carleton County. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him. His is home in heaven now and at peace.

Keeping with Robert’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral service at this time.

If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the Upper River Valley Cancer Support Group in memory of Robert.
