Carleton Funeral Home regrets to announce on behalf of the Smart family, the passing of Raymond Charles Smart of Northampton on Monday April 18, 2022 at his home. Raymond was born on March 24, 1936 to the late Charles Frederick and Jennie (Ives) Smart in Woodstock NB. He is survived by his children, Ellen (Robert) Kee, Rosalie (John) Connell, Jean (Ronald) Simonds, James (Melinda) Smart, John (Paula) Smart, Blair (Lori) Smart, Fourteen Grandchildren, Four Great Grandchildren and Brother Arnold (Louise) Smart, along with several Nieces and Nephews. Besides his parents, Raymond was predeceased by his wife Betty Jane (Monteith). Public visitation will be held on Wednesday April 20, 2022 from 5 to 8 PM at the Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road, Jacksonville NB. There will be a private graveside service at the Kirk Cemetery at a later date. If so desired, donations to the Kirk Cemetery can be made in Raymond's memory would be appreciated by the family.
