Randy Alexander
Christie
August 10, 1953 – March 5, 2023
With his loving wife steadfast by his side, Randy peacefully went home to His father in Heaven. His passing occurred on March 5, 2023, at the URVH at the age of 69. Randy was born to the late John (Jack) and Thelma Christie in Harvey Station on August 10, 1953.
He is survived by his soul mate Barbara Jean (Gallop), his three girls Amy, Erin (Joseph) and Tammy and this grandchildren Jacob, James, and Rachel. He is survived by his Aunt Carol (Lawrence) Little, his brothers Eric (Betty Lou), Clay (Debbie), Kim (Heather), Dwight and Dwayne, as well as his sisters Wina (John) and Karen (Darren). His brother-in-law Allison (Esther) Gallop, and sister in laws Joyce Schriver, Suzanne Gallop and Mary Ellen Christie. He had a large family, so he is also survived by a LOT of nieces, nephews and friends.
Randy was predeceased by his parents, his wife's parents Gerald and Jean (Zwicker) Gallop, his brothers Kent and Reed, a brother in law Fred Schriver and Douglas Gallop and Richard Parent, his nieces Sheri Ann Christie, Katherine Schriver and Lindsey Christie, a nephew John (Leigh) Christie and a great niece Layla Christie.
Randy had a huge heart and was always helping those in need, sometimes to the detriment of himself. If you needed a hand with anything, he was there to help;) Over the years he wore many hats, business owner (Esso service station, Heavy equipment owner/operator), Mechanic, auxiliary RCMP, youth group leader, church vestry, Kinsmen, and landlord. But his greatest joy was his family. His passing is leaving a huge hole in many lives, but we have been blessed to have him in our lives.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff on 2 East for their exceptional care and compassion, they truly went above and beyond in helping not only Dad, but also us as a family to navigate his final journey home.
