O'Nil Alexis LaForest, 83, of Woodstock NB passed away on Thursday, January 04, 2018 at the Carleton Manor Nursing Home. O'Nil was born in St. Andre NB on July 16, 1934 son of the late Louis and Louise (Parent) LaForest.

O'Nil is survived by his wife; Arleen (Colwell) LaForest, sons; James (Linda), Mitchell (Jennifer), Joseph (Sandra), grandchildren; Jennifer, David (Jessica), Megan, Matthew, Nicholas (Olivia), Jonathan, Makale, Sheldon, great grandchildren, Haylee, Kennedy, Zachary, daughters in law; Kim LaForest and Martha Briand-Piercy (Greg), nieces, nephews and cousins.

O'Nil was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Besides his parents; O'Nil was predeceased by two sons; Jeoffrey and Stephen, three brothers and seven sisters.

Visitation will be held Sunday, January 7, 2018 from 6-8 PM from The Carleton Funeral Home & Crematorium 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville NB. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 8, 2018 at 10:00 AM from St. Gertrude's Catholic Church with Fr. Beaumaster officiating. Interment will be held in the Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
