It is with sadness that the family of Oliver Nelson Monteith announces his peaceful passing on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at URVH. Oliver was born in Pembroke NB on May 1, 1926, son of the late Charles and Minnie Monteith.

Oliver is survived by his daughters, Esther(Allison), Judy(Donald), Nancy(Gregory), Louise(Ronald), Doreen(Mark) and son John(Darlene), 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, sister Marie(Basil), sisters-in-law Joan(Ken), Gloria(George), and Gwen(Douglas).

Besides his parents, Oliver was predeceased by his wife, Heloise, sisters, Alice Reardon (Bill) and Marion Jones-Montgomery (Gutherie, Robert), brothers, Harrison (Nina), Ronald (Helen), Gerald (Shirley), infant son Robert and great-grandchildren Gabe and Brennan Bubar.

Visitation will be at The Carleton Funeral Home & Crematorium 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville NB on Thursday, January 30, 2020 from 4 PM to 7 PM. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31, 2020 from The Grafton Baptist Church at 2 PM. Interment will be held in the Kirk Cemetery at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Grafton Baptist Church, River Valley Cancer Support Group and Luxor Shriners.
