It is with much sadness that we announce the death of Neil Clayton Bishop of Woodstock on Sunday January 12, 2025, at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville at the age of 73.

Neil was born on April 23, 1951, in Knoxford NB and raised by chosen parents Walter and Hattie (Seeley) Bishop.

Neil is survived by his wife Joyce (Davenport) Bishop, Stepdaughters Angela Palin and Andrea Palin, 3 Step Grandchildren, Miranda, Audrey and Layla, Brothers David and Wilfred Bishop.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters Betty Culberson and Elta Rideout.

Neil was well known around Woodstock, as Joyce and Neil always were around doing odd jobs in their earlier years and would always walk to town to do their errands and socialize a little at the Carleton Mall stores, Walmart, or Kojacks. Neil was always in a good mood, smiling and wanting to talk, he enjoyed life, loved food, music and especially Joyce.

Visitation will be held on Thursday January 16, 2025, from the Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville from 1 to 3PM.

Funeral Service will be held directly following the visitation at 3PM in the Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will be held in the spring.
