Obituary

It is with much sadness that we announce the death of Myles Smith Dymond of Woodstock, on Sunday January 25, 2026, at Carleton Manor at the age of 90.

Myles was born in Woodstock on November 20th, 1935, to the late Myles and Mae (Cisco) Dymond. Myles is also predeceased by his loving daughter, Sheri Joi Dymond, Brothers, Glendon, Charlie and Michael Dymond, and Sisters, Patricia Riley and Carol Williams.

Myles is survived by his loving Eldest Daughter, Darla Cheney (Guy), Son-in-Love, Andy Bradley, Brothers, Philip (Sue) and Gary (Dena), and Sister, Dorthy Dymond. Myles has 5 Grandchildren, Aaron (Sara), Heidi (Matt), Marci, Kyli (Carlos) and Jamin (Caroline), who were his pride and joy. He could always be caught snuggling and teasing them and doing the same later in life with his numerous great-grandchildren, Jayde, Addy, Thea, Myka, Owen, Easton, Bella, Flora, Dottie, Gage. He also leaves behind several beloved Nieces and Nephews.

Myles attended school in Woodstock, and after grade 12, started his own business, "Dymonds Janitorial'. He had a great entrepreneurial mind and was very successful in his work. He opened Riverside Bed and Breakfast in his preretirement years where he hosted guests from all over and enjoyed meeting new people and making new connections. He had a very positive outlook on life and was often the life of the party wherever he went, whether it was with his Tim Hortons crew, or out putting kilometers on his dancing shoes. Myles was a lover of all thing's sports, and participated on many softball and bowling teams, and took up golfing after his retirement. He loved to travel and went on several cruises to tropical places and visited Hawaii twice. His joking and teasing attributes carried with him through life, even with his diagnosis of Alzheimer's, that the staff of Carleton Manor can attest to, as he spent his last years teasing anyone who came through his door or to "Myles' Corner", as so named by the staff.

The family would like to acknowledge the staff of Carleton Manor and their care for Myles over the last few years.

A private family service will be held on Friday January 30, 2026, at Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road, Jacksonville NB.
