Myles Alexander Anderson, 82, of Richmond Corner, NB, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville, NB. Myles was born in Irish Settlement, NB, on January 14, 1926, son of the late Elwood and Amanda (Bates) Anderson. Myles is survived by his wife Marjorie (Wright), Richmond Corner, NB, children; Frank (Barb), Sooke, BC, Stephen (Shirley), Carstairs, AB, Theresa Anderson (Brian Williams), Woodstock, NB, Cindy Kennedy (Douglas), Richmond Corner, NB, Karen Graham (Randy), Bellville, NB, five grandchildren; Penny, Stephanie, Sarah, Jason, Travis, two great grandchildren; Jayde & Heaven Leigh, brother, Walter Anderson, sisters, Violet Glidden, Marguerite Carson, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, Myles was predeceased by an infant daughter, brothers, Ralph and Gerald Anderson. Myles was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and the Men's Orange Lodge. He was forever devoted and loyal to giving his time to the St. John's United Church, Mackenzie Corner. He, long after retiring from Canada Customs, continued spending his days upkeeping eight Community Cemeteries. Myles's great respect, compassion and devotion shows throughout his family, friends and community. Visitation will be held at The Carleton Funeral Home 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville, NB on Monday, October 6, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral service will Tuesday, October 7, 2008 from The Carleton Funeral Home Chapel at 2 PM with Rev. Bev Brazier officiating. Interment will be in the St. John's United Church Cemetery Mackenzie Corner. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Diabetic Association or St. John's United Church Cemetery Fund.
