Muriel Almina McLean, 93, of Waterville, NB passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at The Upper River Valley Hospital Waterville, NB. Muriel was born in East Brighton, NB on December 18, 1919 daughter of the late Vivan and Josephine (Brown) Hovey.

Muriel is survived by her children; Doreen Lunergan, Marjorie McLean, Ralph McLean (Gail), Norma Dickinson (Donald), grandchildren; Kelly, Scott, Shelley, Lisa, Andrea, great grandchildren; Mercedes, Meghan, Jacob, Marina, Kapri, Jordan, sisters; Clarabelle Seeley, Ethel Wilson, Doris DeLong, Shirley Walton, brother; James Hovey, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her parents; Muriel was predeceased by her husband; Paul, son; James, granddaughter; Lorelei, sister; Marguerite and a brother, Clarence.

Visitation will be held at The Carleton Funeral Home 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville, NB on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 from 7 PM to 9 PM. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2013 from The Carleton Funeral Home Chapel at 2 PM with Harold G. Sparkes officiating. Interment will be held in Upper Waterville Baptist Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a memorial of the donor's choice.
