Clark
November 21, 1942 – June 15, 2018
It is with great sadness that the family of Muriel Jean Clark announces her passing on Friday June 15, 2018. Muriel was born on November 21, 1942 and was the daughter of the late Winnifred (Haynes) and Herschel Stewart.
She graduated from Woodstock High School in 1960 and then attended the NB Teachers College. After becoming a teacher she married Alan Clark in 1964 and raised a son , Mark Clark (Gail) and a daughter, Margo Springer ( Sheldon) on St John Street among a group of wonderful neighbors.
In a long career as a teacher she influenced generations of children and as a member of the Kinettes Club and St. Lukes Anglican Church, she helped many people and made many friends who helped her through many difficult times from Alans passing in 2006, to her battle with cancer.
Besides her children, Muriel is survived by her grandchildren Sam and Simon Springer, her brother Paul Stewart (Lorraine) of Saint John NB and her sister Elizabeth Branscombe (Doug) Truro NS, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at The Carleton Funeral Home & Crematorium 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville NB on Monday, June 18, 2018 from 4 PM to 7 PM. Funeral service for Muriel will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 from St. Lukes Anglican Church at 11 AM. Interment will be held in the Woodstock Rural Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, the family has asked that remembrances be made to River Valley Cancer Support Group, or charity of donor's choice.
