Miriam Ivey, of Woodstock, passed away at the Upper River Valley Hospital on September 11, 2010 in her 88th year. Born in Wales, on December 22, 1922 she was a daughter of the late William and Annie (George) Lewis. Miriam is survived by; her daughters Bessie Harper (Carl) of Woodstock, and Barbara Watt (John) of ON; six grandchildren Tammy, Diane, Cyndi, Jennifer, Mike and Michelle; six great-grandchildren Kassie, Jillian, Brittany, Liam, Avery and Alex; her brother David; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Roland, son Danny Ivey, a sister and five brothers. Miriam loved being Grammie, and was a Grammie (Mimi) for all the children she looked after. A visitation will be held at Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Rd, Jacksonville, on Sunday, September 12, 2010 from 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held from the Carleton Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, September 13, 2010 at 10:00 am with Rev. Paul Wellwood officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodstock Rural Cemetery. Suggested memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke, NB or to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by her family.
