The passing of Merlin Herbert Hay of Connell, NB occurred April 20, 2006 at the Carleton Memorial Hospital Woodstock, NB. Born in Bath, NB on July 26, 1928 to the late Herbert and Vera (Dunham) Hay. Merlin is survived by his wife Josephine (Harrington), daughter Sherrie Hay, High Prarrie, Alberta, adoptive daughter Linda Steeves and adoptive grandsons Andrew & Aaron Libby; two brothers: Eugene, Woodstock, NB, Frank, Levittown, PA, several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Merlin was predeceased by sisters Hilda, Joyce, Geraldine, and a brother Gerald. Respecting the request of the deceased there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 25 at 2 PM from the Hartland Wesleyan Church, Hartland, NB. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Memorial of a donor's choice.
