Maurice Aubrey
Ritchie
November 18, 1941 – December 23, 2025
It is with great sorrow that we announce that Maurice Aubrey Ritchie passed away on December 23, 2025, at the age of eighty-four and will be spending Christmas with his beloved wife Barbara who passed away July 26, 2025.
Maurice was born on November 18, 1941, in Temple, graduated from Meductic High School, the Carleton County Vocational School and Lady Dunn Trade School after which he built Ritchie's Plumbing passing on his experience to another generation of trades people including his son Kyle who became his partner in the business. Maurice was active in the Wesleyan Church and a member of the School Board while his children were growing up, and he was always available to lend an ear or a hand to anyone who needed it.
Above all family was the most important thing to Maurice and that is where he spent most of his time. He is survived by his daughter Michelle (Greg), his son Kyle (Lee-Ann) and three grandchildren -- Olivia, Samuel, and Owen — who he taught to be kind, curious and independent. He is also survived by loving sister Eileen (Sterling) and many nieces and nephews. Maurice was pre-deceased by his father Lester, mother Gladys, brothers Floyd, Olin, Charles and sister Marjorie.
The family would like to extended their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Carleton Manor for the exceptional care and compassion.
A joint celebration of life will be held for Maurice and Barb later in the spring.
Family has requested donations to the Hillman/Ritchie Cemetery in his memory.
Arrangements under the care and direction of Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road, Jacksonville NB
