Mary Cecile Stewart

It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Mary Cecile (Milbury) Stewart. Born January 8, 1943, in Woodstock, New Brunswick, Mom spent much of her life in the Upper Kent area, where she made a home and memories that remained an important part of who she was. Mom will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Madeline, and her grandsons, James and Timothy, of Slave Lake, Alberta. She will also be missed by her sisters-in-law, Marion Giggie of Ontario and Wilda Walker of New Brunswick, along with her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, James; her parents, Lloyd and Madeline Milbury; her parents-in-law, Cecil and Babe Stewart; her twin brother, Malcolm Milbury; her brother, Robert Milbury; and her sister, Gloria Tompkins. She was also predeceased by brothers-in-law Thomas Stewart, Wallace Stewart, Vaughn Giggie, and Aubrey Hayden; sister-in-law Marie (Stewart) Hayden; niece Marg; and great-nephews Jason and Justin. Although words can never fully express what Mom meant to those who loved her, her memory will live on through her daughter, her grandsons, her extended family, and the many lives she touched throughout the years. The memories we hold of her will become the treasures we carry with us. She will be missed more than words can say, but she will always remain a part of our hearts and our family. Rest peacefully, Mom. You will always be loved, always remembered, and never forgotten. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to a charity of the donor’s choice. 

There will be no Public visitation or funeral service. a private graveside service took place at the Wharton Cemetery in Upper Kent.
