Mark Edward
Furge
November 14, 1958 – March 12, 2024
Mark Edward Furge, son of Marion and Delison Furge, was born on November 14, 1958, in Plaster Rock, NB. He peacefully passed away on March 12, 2024, in Lloydminster, AB. Mark was a kind-hearted soul who touched the lives of many with his warm smile and welcoming nature.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Marion and Delison Furge, as well as his dear wife, Lisa Parkinson. Mark's heart never fully healed after the loss of Lisa, and he has never been the same.
Throughout his life, Mark found joy in simple pleasures, and he always had his door open to anyone who wanted to stop in for a beer with him. He worked as a cab driver, where he met countless individuals and shared his whit and sarcasm with everyone he encountered. He was great with his younger customers, and he loved to dress up as Santa on his shifts at Christmas to delight them.
Mark had a witty sense of humor and a penchant for wearing t-shirts with inappropriate sayings, always looking to bring a smile to those around him. He had a deep love for metal music and sci-fi, his favourite being AC/DC and Star Trek
Mark is survived by his loving children: Sarah Furge, Amanda Richard, Adam Furge, and Desiree Foster. He is also survived by his siblings: Charmaine Rodgers, Belinda Morris, and Katrina Stairs. Mark adored his grandchildren, Jasmine Richard, Brody Campbell, and Kyra Campbell, and took immense pride in watching them grow and flourish. Additionally, he is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Mark's passing is very sad for his family, but they take solace of knowing he's now with Lisa and finally at peace.
Mark Edward Furge will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May his spirit live on in the cherished memories and moments he shared with those he loved. Rest in peace ♥️"
