Marion Christine (Porter) Stokoe, 89, of Woodstock, NB passed away at the Carleton Manor Nursing Home, Woodstock, NB on Tuesday, May 15, 2007. Marion was born in Weston, NB, on September 29, 1917, daughter of the late John and Eliza Anne (Ingraham) Porter. Marion is survived by her daughters; Gail Stokoe-Lee (Ken), Woodstock, NB, Geraldine Orser, Newfoundland, Anne Smith, Benton, NB; her grandchildren; Dana Stokoe, Chris Orser, Carrie Lynn Williams, Kimberly Lawson, Tammy Kaye, Heather Doucette and Juanita Smith; several great grand children; sister-in-law Esther Porter ,several nieces ,nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, Marion was predeceased by her husband Paul, son, Malcolm, two sisters; Avis, Eva, brother, Allison, great granddaughter, Britney and son-in-law Weldon. Visitation will be held at the Carleton Funeral Home 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville on Thursday, May 17, 2007 from 3:30 to 5:30 and 7 to 9. Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 18, 2007 at 2:00PM at the Carleton Funeral Home Chapel, Jacksonville, NB with Rev. Fred Snyder officiating. Interment will be at the Bloomfield Cemetery.
