Marie Pearle Simonds, 81, of Northampton, NB, passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at the Carleton Manor Nursing Home, Woodstock, NB. Marie was born in Queensbury, NB, on February 13, 1931 daughter of the late Frank and Bessie (Dunlop) Stairs.

Marie is survived by her son; Gary Simonds (Carol), Northampton, NB, daughters; Trudy Bradley (Bernard), Centerville, NB, Anita Simonds-Watson (Gene), Bell Settlement, NB, grandchildren; Michael, Derek Simonds, Tonya, Blake Bradley, Kyle, Ben, Lacey Watson, Kerry Myshrall, great granddaughter; Elaina, step great grandchildren; Sklard, Leaha, sisters; Winnifred Sala, New Britain, Connecticut, Ethel Antworth, Houlton, ME, brothers; Eugene Stairs (Delores), Temperance Vale, NB, Bernard Stairs (Minabell), Littleton, ME, Ronald Stairs (Nancy), Brooklin, ON, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her parents; Marie was predeceased by her husband; Sterling Simonds, brothers; Lambert, Floyd, sisters; Marguerite, Marion and Carol.

Visitation will be held at The Carleton Funeral Home 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville, NB, on Thursday, May 3 from 7 to 9. Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 4 at 3 PM from The Carleton Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be held in the Kirk Cemetery, Northampton, NB.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Carleton County Animal Shelter, DunRoamin Stray and Rescue Fund or to the Alzheimer's Society.
