Marie's life changed at 4 years old when her mother died. She was raised in Knoxford, NB by her grandparents Gilbert and Pearl MacDonald. Her love for family, and a large group of people at the table, continued into her married life.
The MacDonald Family reunion was a great passion of Mum's. She loved hosting and organizing the annual event. One summer, 30 people came to her home for the weekend and she loved every minute. Mum loved learning about her family tree and was so excited when she learned she had a half brother, Billy Myles. They enjoyed many wonderful times together.
Mum graduated from high school in 1954 from Centreville, married Frank Graham in 1954 who was the love of her life, and they spent 55 wonderful years together. Mum started working at the Baird Company and earned $25.00 a week and saved $100.00 in 6 months so they could start the foundation of their forever home in Good Corner. She stayed home with her children and worked continuously in her home and farm. When Graham Farms Dairy began she worked her magic in making chocolate milk. Mum loved to cook and entertain for many parties and occasions. Dad and mum enjoyed many cruises in later years. Mum was very active in her Church, Women's Institute, Progressive Conservative party (Lifetime member), and Blue Jays. She loved playing, and most of all winning, Rook and Big Momma. Mum enjoyed time with the girls at the lake, especially this past summer. She lived her life with family and friends doing what she loved, and serving her Lord and Saviour to the best of her ability.
