Obituary

Margaret (Peggy) Christina Cameron, 99, of Woodstock, NB passed away on Tuesday, August 3rd, 2021 at the Carleton Manor Nursing Home. Peggy was born in Scotland on November 13, 1921, the daughter of the late Margaret (Farmer) and Duncan Cameron.

After graduating from Vocational School, Peggy worked as a clerk for the Air Force in Scoudouc during the war before moving to work as a stenographer at the Verdun Protestant Hospital in Verdun, QC. She then returned to Woodstock to work as the court reporter for both Provincial Court and the Court of Queen ' s bench where she worked for over 30 years. She will be remembered by the community for her involvement in the IODE, VON, and Saint James United Church.

She is survived by nieces Avis Golding and Kate (John) No ë l; Nephew Alfred (Karen) Warren, grand nephews Charles, Thomas and Nolan Golding, Gregory ( Kristina) Perkoski and Jeffery Warren grand niece Christina Ramirez and 6 great grand nephews.

Besides her parents, Peggy was predeceased by her sisters Catherine Cameron and Elizabeth Sprague, brother Murdo Cameron, and grand nephew Aaron Golding.

Visitation will be held from Carleton Funeral Home and Crematorium 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville NB, on Thursday, August 5, 2021 from 7 to 9PM.

Service will be held on Friday, August 6, 2021 at 2pm from the Carleton Funeral Home Chapel

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Saint James United Church, Woodstock, NB or to a charity of the Donor ' s choice.
