In Loving Memory of Maeve Marie Cummings

June 19, 2021 – January 2, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, Maeve Marie Cummings, aged 3, on January 2, 2025, at the IWK in Halifax, NS. She brought endless joy and light into the lives of everyone she touched, with her ability to talk to everyone, boundless energy, loving heart and infectious laughter.

Born on June 19, 2021, in Fredericton, NB, Maeve arrived early, at just 33 weeks, a tiny 3lbs 10oz warrior princess. Maeve loved ballet, going on daddy's bike, singing along as she DJ'ed family car rides, and makeup, lots and lots of makeup. She had a unique ability to brighten any room with her big blue eyes, smile and laugh.

Maeve is survived by her loving parents, Keyan Smith, Clark Cummings and bonus mom, Jenna. Her special sisters Laken and Kendelle. She will forever be cherished in the hearts of her Grammy Karen, Nana Joyce, Papa Curtis, Nana Val, Grampy Mac and Great Nanny Joan and Grampy Wayne. Uncles Brandon (Whitney), Kanden, Lucas (Ashlee), Brandon, and Brookes. Aunts Ivy, and special aunts Krista (Roy), Erika (Philip), Erin (Tyler) and Jordan (Jody). Cousins Alder, Henley, Hali, Eamon and Emerald. And all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Visitation will take place at the Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road, Jacksonville on Monday January 6, 2025, from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m.

A celebration of Maeve's beautiful life will be held on Tuesday January 7, 2025, at 2:00 PM From Carleton Funeral Home Chapel, we welcome all who loved Maeve to join us in honoring her vibrant spirit.

A private family burial will follow at Waterville Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made in Maeve's memory to the IWK Health Centre, in gratitude for the compassionate care their team provided to our sweet girl.

Although Maeve's time with us was far too short, her legacy of love, laughter, and light will live on in our hearts forever. She was our brightest star, our greatest blessing, and we are eternally thankful for the gift of her life. Maeve, you will forever be our sunshine.
