Obituary

Carleton Funeral Home regrets to announce the death of Lynwood Charles MacMillan of Benton NB on Friday May 27, 2022 at the Upper River Valley Hospital at the age of 88. Lynwood was born in Benton on December 29, 1933, to the late Frederick and Madeline (McGann) MacMillan. Lynwood was a self-employed Electrical Contractor (L.C. MacMillan) for 35 years and lived in Saint John NB; He retired and moved back to Benton in 1989. Lynwood played the organ and sang at St Agnes Parish for many years until he had his stroke. One of his greatest passions was to keep St Lawrence Church in Benton alive. He was a wonderful friend to many people and will be loved forever by his family. Lynwood was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Lynwood is survived by his sister Lois MacMillan-Moulton, Brothers William (Avis) MacMillan, Allan (Ruth) MacMillan, several Nieces and Nephews. Besides his parents, Lynwood was predeceased by a brother John MacMillan. There will be no Public visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St Gertrude's Church on Tuesday May 31, 2022 at 11:00 AM. The family has asked that everyone in attendance to please wear a mask. Interment will follow at St Agnus Cemetery in Debec. The family has requested donations to the St Angus Cemetery Fund in Lynwood's Memory. Arrangements have been entrusted to Carleton Funeral Home Jacksonville NB.
