Obituary

Lula (Tootie) Mae Atkinson, 70, of Richmond Settlement, NB, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville, NB. Tootie was born in Hartfield Corner, NB, York County, NB, daughter of the late Victor and Mona (Bragdon) Moorcroft. Tootie is survived by her husband of 52 years, Laurel, Richmond Corner, NB; sons, Steven (Eileen), East Hampton, Connecticut, William (Kathy), Beaver Dam NB, Charles (Barb), Elmwood, NB, Ernest (May), Richmond Corner, NB; sisters, Myrna Cox (Donald), Hazel Farrell, Mary Power, and Irene Beers; brothers, Alton Moorcroft (Elizabeth) and Eldon Moorcroft (Muriel); grandchildren, Gloria, Katilyn, Daniel, Kristy, Nick, Kate, Matthew, Peter, Mark, and families,; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Tootie was predeceased by her sister, Linda Smith; nephew, Michael Moorcroft; and niece, Rhonda Cox. Visitation will be held at The Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road, Jacksonville, NB on Saturday, September 20, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2008, from the Carleton Funeral Home Chapel at 2 pm, with Bev Brazier officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
