It is with broken hearts and much sadness that we announce the death of Lori Anne Young, formerly of Woodstock, on Monday October 21, 2024, at the DECH in Fredericton at the age of 52.

Lori was born in Yarmouth Nova Scotia on April 21, 1972, to the late Gerry Young and Mary (Saulnier) Young.

Lori is survived by her mother Mary Young, sisters Marie Innes (Joey), Terri Rigden (Mike), brother Garth Perry, nieces Kelsey (Rob), Emma (Daniel), Megan, nephews, Blake, Austin, Bryce, Great Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins, also several friends including two very special friends of 31 years, Cynthia and Paula.

Lori was predeceased by her father Gerry and grandparents, Lenard and Lucy Saulnier

Lori was a fun and loving girl. She loved big and lived big, she was very passionate about mental health and changed the way people saw mental illness.

She loved music and adventures; she loved helping others. Her smile and laugh were infectious, and she always lit up a room.

Over Lori's life she spent many summers at Jellystone Park as Ranger Lori. She worked and helped create Hayward House Recovery Center, she was the national Peer Support Consultant for the province of New Brunswick.

Lori had many passions, and her biggest passion was being Aunt Lori to Kelsey and Emma and helped groom them into the women they are today.

Visitation will be held on Friday October 25, 2024, at Carleton Funeral Home from 5 to 8PM.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday October 26 from ST. Gertrude's Roman Catholic Church at 11AM, followed by the interment at the Calvary Cemetery.
