Updated information of Graveside Service

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Lawrence Eugene Sewell formerly of Pembroke on Tuesday December 23, 2025, at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville at the age of 83.

Lawrence was born on January 12, 1942, in Pembroke  NB to the late Russell and Mildred (Price) Sewell.

Lawrence is survived by his children, children, Cindy (Clayton) Stairs, Bedell, NB, Greg (Alicia) Sewell and Wendy Sewell Pembroke NB, grandchildren Evan, Bryden, Kiersten Sewell Connor and Jaxon Stairs, sisters-in-law Joyce Sewell and Ethel Sewell and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Lawrence was predeceased by his wife Laureen in 2024, sister Sylvia Sewell, brothers Gerald and Ralph Sewell.

Lawrence was a farmer and worked hard, He loved his family and farming was his life until he had health issues and had to go into the manor.

The family would like to thank the staff at Central Carleton Nursing Home for the excellent care to their father, also to the nursing staff at Upper River Valley Hospital and special thanks to Pastor Dale MacDonald for his visits and prayers.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday January 17th, 2026 at the Pembroke Community Hall from 1 to 4PM.

A graveside service will be held on Friday May 15th at 7PM at Pembroke Cemetery with Pastor Dale MacDonald..

If so desired donations can be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
