Laurel William Atkinson, 83, of Richmond Settlement, NB passed away Wednesday, June 10 ^th ,  at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville, NB.  Laurel was born July 28, 1936 Woodstock, N.B.  son of the late Clifford and Edith (Haynes) Atkinson.

Laurel is survived by 4 sons, Steven (Eileen), East Hampton, Connecticut, William (Bill), Beaver Dam, NB, Charlie (Barb), Elmwood, NB, Ernest (May) Richmond Corner, NB;  brother John and sister Alice both of Irish Settlement, NB.  Grandchildren, Gloria, Katilyn, Daniel, Kristy, Nick, Kate, Matthew, Peter, Mark and several great grand children; nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Laurel was predeceased by his wife, Lula (Tootie) of 52 years, daughter-in-law, Kathy, brother Wilmot.

Laurel worked for the Department of Transportation as supervisor for over 25 years and an Honorary Lifetime Member of Woodstock Elks Lodge.

There will be no visitation or funeral service. There will be a private graveside committal service Saturday June 13 at The McKenzie Corner United Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to a memorial of the donors choice.
