Laural Fred
Mcelhinney
June 7, 1959 – March 30, 2025
It is with much sadness and broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Laural "Buddy" Fred McElhinney of Newburg, on Sunday March 30, 2025, at the Upper River Valley Hospital at the age of 65.
Buddy was born in Woodstock on June 7, 1959, to the late Leverett and Elizabeth (Cullins) McElhinney.
He is survived by his wife Aldean (McLaughlin), Siblings, Allen (Diane Havlett), Danny, Susan (Brent) Farrell, Sally (Willis) McElhinney, several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins as well aa many friends.
Buddy was a truck driver for over 35 years, trucking was his life, a couple of years ago he decided he wanted to be home more and went to work for Sharpes Towing driving wrecker. Buddy was a big tease, and he loved to tease everyone, he loved his Nieces and Nephews very much. Buddy may have appeared rough on the outside but was a big soft marshmallow on the inside, he had a heart of gold and would help anyone.
He will be missed by many…
A graveside committal will be held on Sunday at 2pm at St Joseph Cemetery in Newburg. Following the committal, a celebration of Life will be held at Sharpes Auto Salvage, everyone is welcome to attend.
If so desired, donations in Buddy's memory can be made to Pembroke Community Hall or the Canadian Heart Foundation.
