Kenneth Patrick "Ken" Elliott

March 9th, 1948 – December 25th, 2025

Woodstock, NB (formerly Pugwash, NS)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth Patrick Elliott, on December 25, 2025, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton, New Brunswick, at the age of 77.

Ken lived in several communities throughout his life, including Pugwash and Tatamagouche, NS; Summerside, PEI; Ottawa, ON; and Woodstock, NB. In each place he was known for his kindness, humour, willingness to lend a hand, and quiet support of friends and neighbours. Ken had a knack for seeing someone in need, and quietly helping them, never expecting reciprocation.

A Graduate from the University of King's College, Halifax, Ken worked in the civil service for the Provinces of PEI, Nova Scotia and Ontario, worked in Tourism NB and spent many years as a proud member and employee of The Woodstock Baptist Church until he retired. He was also involved in his family's grocery business. He inspired many with the creativity, enthusiasm and dedication he brought to a job well done. Like his parents before him, he maintained a strong connection to his Church and community, took pride in being actively involved wherever he lived. He served as President of CHF Canada for over a decade and was a familiar presence in the community as Santa Claus. A role he embraced for more than 20 years, spreading magic to hundreds of families. He always took great delight surprising children with Santa's knowledge of them.

Ken enjoyed playing bridge, reading, cooking, expressing his creativity through ceramics, and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Ken is survived by his children Scott, Mark, David (Lindsay), and Katherine (Thomas), and by his grandchildren Sean, Christopher, TJ, and Evelyn. He was predeceased by his parents, Howard and Frances Elliott, and by his brother Christopher.

Respecting Ken's wishes there will not be a public visitation or funeral service.

If so desired, donations can be made in Ken's memory to the Valley Food Bank would be appreciated by the family.
