The family of the late Judy Cheryl Hamilton (nee Kidney) announce her passing on May 7, 2026.

She is survived by her sons Scott Hamilton (Amanda) and Kyle, grandsons Byron, Jackson and Jameson, her sister Joy (Bev), several nieces, nephews as well as cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband Robert, her parents Byron and Velma Kidney, brother James Kidney and several aunts and uncles.

Judy worked as an LPN for a number of years before her health forced her very early retirement. After Bob’s passing Judy worked for several years at Woodstock A&W enjoying her contact with the public and her work colleagues. In her later years, Judy made her home first at Riverside Court and then Carleton Manor’s where she received such great support and care.

Judy’s family would like to acknowledge and thank staff from both for their caring professionalism. A special thank you to Susan and Natalie, not only for their care, but for making Judy’s days a bit brighter with their humour and compassion.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 12 at Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road, Jacksonville from 5 to 7pm.

A private family graveside will take place at a later date.
