We extend our sympathy to the family of John William Francois Ross of Upper Woodstock on Tuesday March 10, 2026, at the Upper River Valley Hospital.

John was born on November 5, 1944, in New Glasgow NS.

John is survived by his wife Alma, daughters, Debbie Rogers and Janette Ross, grandchildren Drake Rogers, Seth Boyd , Vincent Ross and son Victor Ross, brother Sterling Luddington, brother Jim McNeil, and extended family.

John worked in the woods and loved nature, he was a great hunter with a great shot, loved trapping and fishing, especially fishing mackerel off the wharf in Lunenburg.

John had a heart of gold and would give the shirt off his back, which one day he stopped and gave his jacket to a lady that was walking along the road. John was also known for his hats that he sold at Kojacks.

Respecting John's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service, cremation will take place and his ashes will be returned home to Nova Scotia.

If so desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Association in his memory would be appreciated by his family.
