Obituary

The family of John (Jack) Walters Parkinson sadly report his passing peacefully with family at his side at the Upper River Valley Hospital on January 28, 2022 at the age of 89. Born March 24, 1932 to John and Muriel Parkinson in Campbell Settlement NB. Jack is survived by his lifelong love and wife of 67 years, Carolyn (Bustard); his son Bob (Karen) and their children Jason (Callie) and Gina (Josh MacDougald) and son Roger (Pam) and their children Kristina Little (Jeremy) and Kyle (Shayne Marchand), Great Grand Children Jack, and twins Evelyn and Theodore Little, Also many cousins and Bustard family in-laws, Isabel, Andrew (Connie), Dianne (Dave), Brian (Cathy) and many friends and neighbors. Jack was a worker and raised his family as such. In the 60's he milked his cows at 5AM, drove school bus at 7 and the milk truck for General Dairies at 9. Back in the school bus at 3 and milking at 5. By the 70's he realized his dream and was a full time dairy farmer. His Holstein Canada membership was continual for 60 years. Over the years Jack and Carolyn enjoyed many bus trips and tours, especially to the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto and World Dairy Expo in Wisconsin. In Jack's final year he was still talking about working the fields and attending to his cows. Jack was predeceased by his parents and an infant sister. Jack/Dad/Grampy/Great Grampy- missed by many and loved by all!! Many thanks to Dr. Stocek for his care the last several years and the nurses and staff at the UPV Hospital for their care the last 24 days. A public visitation will also be held on Saturday, May 28th, from 1-2 with a funeral service following at 2pm at the St. John Anglican church in Richmond Corner. If so desired, the family has suggested donations in memory of Jack be made to the St. John Anglican Church of Richmond Corner or to a charity of the donor's choice. Personal Condolences to the family and donations may be made through Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville NB.
